Work Permit

S Pass

S Pass is a work pass issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for mid-skilled foreign workers. It's designed for professionals, technicians, and skilled workers in industries such as engineering, IT, healthcare, and service sectors, among others.
Eligibility Criteria
Employers must be a registered entity with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) and be eligible to hire foreign employees.
Quota System: The number of S Pass holders a company can employ is subject to a quota, based on the company’s total workforce. Companies must adhere to the prescribed quota ratio for foreign workers.
Salary and Qualifications: The company must meet the prevailing minimum salary threshold for S Pass workers. Additionally, employers must ensure that the job role meets the appropriate qualifications and skill levels.
Workers must have at least a diploma or degree from a recognized institution. This includes higher qualifications or relevant work experience in a technical or skilled profession.
Salary: Applicants must meet a minimum monthly salary requirement, which changes from time to time (as of 2023, the minimum is SGD 2,500).
Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 50 years old.
Nationality: There are no nationality restrictions, but certain countries might require additional documentation.

S Pass

Employment Pass

Employment Pass (EP) is a work visa issued to foreign professionals, managers, and executives who wish to work in Singapore. It’s for individuals who have specialized skills, qualifications, or expertise that are in demand within the country. The Employment Pass is one of the most common passes for high-skilled workers in fields such as finance, engineering, IT, healthcare, and more.
Eligibility Criteria Employer must be a registered business in Singapore with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Job Offer: Employers must offer a job that is consistent with the qualifications and skills of the applicant, and the position must meet the criteria for an EP.
Applicants must meet certain criteria, and the job must be a professional, managerial, or executive role. EP holders are typically employed in managerial, executive, or specialized technical positions.
Salary: As of 2023, applicants must earn at least SGD 5,000 per month (higher for older and more experienced candidates). This minimum salary requirement increases for older applicants (e.g., SGD 6,000 for those aged 45 and above).
Educational Qualifications: Applicants should hold at least a recognized degree or a similar professional qualification. Alternatively, significant work experience in a related field can also help.
